About Dosti

DOSTI works in territories to protect the rights of every child.

Dosti Welfare Organization (DOSTI) embodies a non-profit ethos committed to the betterment of societal conditions within Pakistan. Founded on 17 March, 1996, by Dr. Munir Ahmad, M.D., the organization has been at the forefront of literacy and educational endeavors across the nation.

Under the generous support of Global Education Campaign (USA), the Dosti ‘s sister organization, Dosti Welfare Organization stands as a paragon of compassion, resilience, and ingenuity, dedicated to the empowerment of individuals and communities. Our journey is characterized by a relentless pursuit of a society where education, health, and development are accessible to all, ensuring a brighter, more equitable future for Pakistan.

Dosti Welfare Organization is committed to educating every child in any corner of the nation. We are committed to educating all of the 26 million school-age children in Pakistan, Besides educating the masses, we are also aware and vigilant about the importance of quality of education at all levels. We believe the ultimate result of education must be the achievement of excellence in one’s vocation. We believe that students must grow up with a certain spiritual sense. Basic values, such as kindness, generosity, fairness, justice, equality, and personal freedom must become part of their personality. They must be aware of Haqooq-Allah and Haqooq-al-Abad We must not let children grow up as technicians of their trades; they must maintain basic human values – “Do unto others what you would have done to you”

Dosti’s mission is articulated through a commitment to cultivating a superior community framework that facilitates access to health, education, humanitarian aid, and empowerment for every citizen, irrespective of any form of discrimination. This mission propels both our strategic initiatives and our day-to-day operations, driving impactful contributions to the societal landscape.

We are pleased to present the following ever-changing numbers. The credit goes to our volunteer coordinators whose tireless efforts and twelve to fourteen hours long days have produced impressive results. These numbers are in no way finite. By empowering the communities, we have created a tradition of self-help for perpetuity. During our journey over the last less than four-year period, we have been fortunate to have come across some gems of people whose hearts yearn to see their communities prosper. DWO could not have done without them. We look forward to a brilliant future. As it has been said: “Yes, we can”
